Facelift

We offer patients aesthetic enhancement through facelift surgery.  Using the most refined techniques and a keen artistic eye, Dr. Fern performs rejuvenating facelifts to help patients achieve a fresh and vibrant appearance.

Over time, the elements and gravity cause delicate facial skin to lose its youthful appearance. The skin loosens along the jaw and cheek bones, at the sides of the mouth, and below the chin, resulting in folds on the face and neck. When minimal or noninvasive procedures are insufficient, we offer patients facelift surgery to revitalize the face in a natural way so that it appears fuller, smoother, and younger looking.

Rhinoplasty

We offer rhinoplasty procedures to help patients transform the appearance of their nose. A nose that is too large, too small, crooked, or inappropriately angled due to nature, birth defect, or injury, can make a face appear unbalanced.

Using modern and advanced rhinoplasty techniques, Dr. Fern can reshape the nasal bridge, tip, nostrils, or forehead and lip angles in order to achieve better harmony between facial features. Septoplasty can also be performed to treat minor breathing problems that result from a deviated nasal septum. This is often done as a combination procedure with an otolaryngologist, who can address other, related, nasal airway issues such as turbinate hypertrophy and chronic sinus infections, if needed. Septal and other cartilage grafts are frequently used to augment or restore the support of the nose, or to improve nasal airflow.

Rhinoplasty patients from Manhattan, Greenwich, New Canaan, White Plains, and many other areas across New York and Connecticut seek us for our knowledge, experience, and skill with nasal surgery.

Eyelid Surgery

Dr. Fern performs upper and lower eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, to help patients look younger and feel more vibrant. As people age, the skin and retaining tissues around the eyes lose their elasticity, making the eyelids appear wrinkled and often leading to the appearance of bags beneath the eyes. This may make someone look older than they feel, or look tired, even when they are not. Sometimes, upper eyelid skin laxity can be so extreme that it can obstruct vision.

Blepharoplasty removes the excess skin, muscle, and fat from around the eyes in order to create a more youthful, alert, and attractive appearance. Eyelid surgery is sometimes combined with a full or mini-facelift, or a mid face lift, for an even more dramatic result.

Ear Surgery

External ear surgery, or otoplasty, is frequently performed to pull protruding ears closer to the head or to improve the overall shape, position, and contour of the ear. Parents often seek surgery for children with prominent ears in order to prevent or diminish teasing in school or in other social settings. This is usually done between six to eight years of age, but it may be deferred to a later date depending on the child’s development and maturity level.

Adults who feel self-conscious about the appearance of their ears can also benefit from cosmetic ear surgery. Other commonly performed procedures on the ear include correction of large, stretched, torn, or deformed earlobes, as well as reconstruction of ears damaged from disease, surgery, birth defect, or injury. Poorly placed or unwanted piercing holes can be closed. Earlobe piercing is also offered, either separately or as part of a surgical procedure.
